As an association concerned with the development
of its membership, ASSI provides the following core activities to the benefit of
its members in line with its vision and mission.
ASSI’s training programme covers skills development and new improved methods of doing business. Training programs run by the Association span across different disciplines;
Specialized programs or workshops are also organized to equip beneficiaries with new trends and techniques arising from the introduction of new technology and changes in economic trends.
ASSI in performing this function tries to influence government policies that affect micro and small scale industries. It has therefore initiated the following actions;
ASSI provides business advisory services to its members across the length and breadth of the country. This is to help members seek advice on best practices in their respective trade areas that will enable them develop and grow their businesses.
ASSI facilitate access to financial support from donor partners/agencies in the form of grants and soft loans from accredited financial institutions. This helps members to revive their businesses, improve upon working capital and for business expansion purposes.
